Privacy Policy

Summary

This privacy policy describes how ByteSized Budget utilizes, collects, and discloses person information about users.

For convenience, ByteSized Budget may be simply referred to as, "the website," “the app” or “application.” The user of the application may be referred to as “you.” Concerns regarding the developers, ByteSized Crew, may be referred to as “us.” The public facing website at budget.bytesizedcrew.com will be referred to as “the website.” Third party services utilized by the app may be referred to as “they” but may not refer to the specific service being utilized. The California Consumer Privacy Act may be referred to simply as “the act.”

Information Collected

The website was created in a way where data created by the user stays solely on their device. In the context of the budgeting data, this information is stored on the user's browser's storage or if data is exported, it is stored as a text file in the location of the user's choosing. This allows for the user to use the site without exposing personally identifiable information such as a name, address, or contact information.

If you send email communication to us, we will have access to the message and any attachments of that email and we may retain it for future reference.

Payment information for the app is submitted and processed by a third party payment processor. This payment processor handles transactions with my application on our behalf. They may collect information such as a billing address and financial information such as a credit or debit card number. For more information regarding this, please refer to their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Surveys and questionnaires may be created on occasion to access the utility of the application and any information submitted may be retained for future reference.

Information submitted outside of the app such as comments on a social media post related to the app or I will be considered public. For more information, please refer to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of those entities.

Some information is collected automatically such as the volume of traffic to the public facing website. An example of this is the IP address.

How I Use your Information

Information about you is used for various purposes such as:

  • Contact you
  • Processing payments
  • Communicate with you changes to the website or app

Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, object to submitting your information and not be discriminated against. For simplicity on our end, we will assume the highest level of privacy rights regarding each of these various categories and regions. Currently ByteSized Budget does not retain sure created data on the web server for a user to access, correct, or delete. If there is a future update where personally identifiable information is allowed on the website, this information would be made available to you. These choices allow for a universal policy regardless of the individual utilizing the app as you would have the greatest level of control over your use of the app and your information.

Child Information

This app is created for the use of general audiences and is not intended for children. As there is no data retention of users on the web server, there is no limitation to how a child may use the website. The information presented is purely financial and based upon user inputs on their own device. If there is a future update that allows for data storage on the web server, this policy will change.

California Residents

The state of California requires the disclosure of the purpose of personal information retention and categories of third parties that we share or sell your information to with accordance to the California Consumer Privacy Act. Regarding both of these measures within the act, we only share your financial information such as a billing address and credit or debit card information with a third party payment processor. This information is not sold for any purpose and is not retained on the web server for ByteSized Budget. The payment processor may retain this information with accordance to their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

All other information is not shared or sold to any entity and is solely used by the app at your discretion.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy may be revised at any time.
